The Norseman (Farrington’s Pub)
East Essex Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2.
Beer, Whiskey, Food, Music
These four words pretty much sum up what we do well. We are a craft beer and whiskey house and pride ourselves on our vast and varied selection. As you see quality is our priority and this transfers through into our food, service and live entertainment. Only the best for our customers!
We have recently undergone a bit of a change! We took a step back into our history and changed the bar name back to The Norseman. For those who are not in the know we were called Farringtons after a character in James Joyce’s Dubliners who was partial to an auld tipple or 2.
We are the oldest pub in Temple Bar. The Norseman building as a watering hole dates back to the 1500’s when it was known as the Wooden Man Tavern. We are The Norseman Temple Bar 1696 as this was the year the premises was First Licensed.
